RF oscillators are pervasive in today's society, enabling communication on all levels from cell phones to satellites. The market for RF and microwave oscillators continues to grow at a rapid pace, fueled by the increasing demand for wireless communication.

Into this growing market, NanOsc introduces a novel oscillator technology - the Spin Torque Oscillator - which promises to reduce device cost, improve quality factors, and offer a wide tunable frequency range. This will enable new exciting technologies in the high GHz range.

NanOsc has been commercializing the Spin Torque Oscillator since 2006, and we are still finding new exciting applications for the technology. The Spin Torque Oscillator is based on the Nobel price winning discovery of Giant Magneto Resistance. By combining magnetic multilayers and nanotechnology we create a current and field tunable nano oscillator for applications in the low to high GHz range.

NanOsc also has wide competence in various areas of technology and science. Primarily in magnetism, magnetic modeling and measurements, thin film deposition of metals and insulators, and clean room processing (lithography and etching) of a wide range of materials. NanOsc starts new European collaboration project - Macalo

NanOsc has joined a joint European project together with a number of academic partners. The project focuses on heat development in spintronic structures. NanOsc part is to develop new types of STOs with high output power and low phase noise
